Lea, it turned out so great! Thanks again a million for putting the time into this and letting us all "piggyback" on your awesomeness. There really are so many great people working with our kiddos up at PCMC.
McKall was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) on May 20, 2010 at 3 1/2 years old. This blog is to record her journey through cancer so she can someday look back and realize how much she inspired those around her by being "One Tough Chick!"
ALL is a cancer of the marrow and blood. It occurs when a single cell in the marrow becomes damaged and starts to rapidly produce more of itself. Those immature leukemic cells fail to work as normal blood cells and even block the production of normal marrow cells. Thus causing the anemia and other symptoms of leukemia. So you end up full of useless blood that cant effectively carry oxygen and nutrients to the rest of your body.
This is such a cute book!! Thanks so much for doing it!!
